Missing out on sleep has also been shown to contribute to high blood pressure, a weakened immune system, weight gain, mood swings, paranoia, depression and secual decline. It can also contribute to a higher risk of type 2 diabetes, stroke, cardiovascular disease, dementia and some cancers. That is because at some point, your body loses the ability to cope with lack of sleep.
